I am a religion and politics researcher and an affiliate of the Center for American Political Studies at Harvard University. I received my PhD in 2022 from the Department of Government at Harvard University. I study American politics, emphasizing religion in both contemporary and historical American settings. I use text, experimental, and behavioral data to understand how politics can shape the theological belief systems of faithful individuals. I am also interested in state and local government and political geography.

Prior to my PhD, I worked in community planning and public health in Springfield, Illinois. I earned my MPA from the University of Illinois-Springfield in 2013 and my BA in political science and history from Illinois Wesleyan University in 2011.
